With all the hoopla over celebrity splits, fans are left wondering who the next couple to split will be. The latest Hollywood duo to file for divorce is retired Detroit Red Wings player Mike Modano and actress Willa Ford.
The couple, who were wed for five years, has not specified why they are divorcing but remain civil with each other – for now.
Modano, 42, married Ford, 31, in 2007 in Athens, Texas. Modano is the highest-scoring American-born player in NHL history with 561 goals and 1,374 points, while Ford, a singer-turned-actress, currently stars in the Starz television drama “Magic City.”
“It is with great sadness that after five years of marriage, Willa and Mike have decided to divorce,” read an article in People Magazine. “They remain friends and wish each other success and happiness.”
