After his 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover became brain dead following a jet ski accident, word has it that R&B superstar Usher has had a change of heart regarding his child custody battle with ex-wife Tameka Foster.

Usher and Foster had a bitter divorce and the battle over custody of their two sons has dragged on for years. However, the jet ski accident has brought the estranged pair together and it seems as though Usher wants to settle the dispute.

According to TMZ, sources close to the former couple explain that over the weekend, Usher suggested that he and Tameka share 50-50 custody of their boys and even went as far as to say he will increase his child support payments.

Foster allegedly declined, but Usher isn’t one to give up easily. He is working with his divorce lawyers to draft a new agreement that would give Foster a greater share of custody, as well as greater child support.

While Usher’s latest custody plan hasn’t been officially presented by his divorce attorneys, TMZ explains the sources say Foster is open to a “reasonable settlement.”
