George Zimmerman’s wife has recently filed for divorce as per inputs provided by local gossip. Zimmerman is the same guy who has been acquitted of charges amounting to the murder of teenager Trayvon Martin. His wife of six years, Shellie Zimmerman has put in the required papers in the first week of September, seeking divorce. Her divorce attorney, Kelly Sims, has stated that the decision has finally been taken after the recent disappointments and “much soul searching.”

A Huge Event

According to the divorce papers that were published, the couple has separated out on August 13th and has been living that way ever since. This is too bad this happened. This horrific event has probably stressed out the both of them. Everyone saw that George gained weight during the trial; this is never good for a relationship. It is too bad their relationship was not strong enough to overcome this horrific event.

No Job

Shellie has asked for equitable distribution of debt, assets, and property. She has also sought sole custody of her two dogs. The report also stated that Shellie has mentioned that she is unemployed and her monthly expenses amount to $755. Since separation, George has paid her $4,300 in living expenses. His source of funds, according the financial disclosure statement, is the Legal Defense Fund. This is the second time around that Zimmerman has been in news, and both times it has been for the wrong reasons. An earlier report revealed that Zimmerman was stopped twice for speeding.

It is too bad that high taxes and job killing regulations are making it so hard for some people to find a job.

Very Few Places to Go

Shellie has also been facing rough weather since she had to plead guilty to charges of perjury, confessing that she lied during the bond hearing of George. The hints of the troubled marriage surfaces a few days later when Shellie spoke to ABC news stating that the trial has caused significant dents in her marriage. She explained, “I think we have been pretty much like gypsies…We’ve lived in a 20-foot trailer in the woods, scared every night that someone was going to find us and that we’d be out in the woods alone and that it would be horrific.”

However, near and dear ones are still hopeful about the marriage and have wished the couple loads of luck!
