Los Angeles, CA- Now that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have settled their divorce, his second wife Nicole Kidman feels safe to open up about her own divorce Cruise, admitting that she was blind-sided when he moved to end their marriage.

The Oscar winning actress met Cruise when they co-starred in “Days of Thunder,” and married in 1993. They even adopted two children together.

Kidman told Dujour magazine, “I was totally smitten. I fell madly and passionately in love. I was reeling with Tom. I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him. We were in a bubble, just the two of us. We became very dependent on one another.”

But ten years into the marriage that bubble busted when Cruise asked for a divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”

“I thought our live together was perfect. It took me a very long time to heal,” Kidman said, adding she was “shocked” when he asked for a divorce. For her losing Tom meant she was losing her best friend, “I realized I didn’t want to be alone. I wanted to fall in love again, but I wasn’t sure I could.”

Kidman did eventually move on and married country singer Keith Urban. And Cruise also moved on to marry actress Katie Holmes, but their six-marriage ended earlier this year.
