Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may not be married yet, but they are on a sure fire path toward divorce court after Stewart’s recent infidelity scandal.
The “Twilight” actress issued a public apology to her co-star and boyfriend after admitting she cheated on him with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders, who also happens to be married with children.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” said Stewart, 22, in a statement to People magazine after photos surfaced of her kissing Sanders, 41. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Maybe it’s that British charm Stewart simply can’t resist. Both Pattinson and Sanders are from the UK. She also seems to have a thing for older men. Pattinson is four years her senior and Sanders has 19 years on her.
Whether the pair will work things out or not is something only time will tell. One thing is for sure though, the couple will be spending an awful lot of time together in the upcoming months as they promote their soon-to-be-released final installment of the “Twilight” saga, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” which premieres Nov. 16.
Stewart and Pattinson might as well start looking into hiring a top divorce attorney because the future might not be as smooth as they had planned.
Even though they aren’t married, consulting with a divorce lawyer before tying the knot is extremely important so couples can hash out details of the pre-nup, which in Stewart and Pattinson’s case, might include a pretty big infidelity clause.
