MINNESOTA – Perhaps Kris Humphries could learn a thing or two from his parents’ divorce – how to make it snappy.

The NBA star’s parents filed for divorce just a month ago and the case is already finalized.  Humphries’ mom, Debra, officially filed divorce papers on Aug. 3 and by Aug. 29, a Minnesota judge signed the divorce decree.

Humphries, who was married to reality star Kim Kardashian, is still nowhere near getting close to working things out with his ex.

Kardashian filed for divorce on Oct. 31, after just 72 days of marriage. The divorce is still not finalized, especially because Humphries is determined to prove the marriage was a sham.

According to Humphries, the couple wed solely for publicity and he wants Kardashian to issue a public notice admitting the whole thing was a hoax.

Although Kardashian has offered to settle rather handsomely, Humphries is not budging on the matter.

Who knows when exactly the Humphries-Kardashian divorce drama will end, but it certainly doesn’t look like things will blow over any time soon.

Even though Humphries and Kardashian’s divorce is taking an abnormally long time to resolve, it is not uncommon for couples to struggle through proceedings for years at a time.
