Los Angeles, CA- It’s been a three-year saga, but now Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are officially divorced. A Los Angeles judge signed off on Kardashian’s divorce December 9, 2016, ending a drawn-out divorce with numerous ups and downs.
Fox News reports that the judge signed the final divorce papers last Friday, but the couple won’t be single for several more days.
Khloe Kardashian originally filed for divorce from Lamar in December of 2013 after Lamar was caught on video in a drug-addled state. Even though the couple had problems, the video was the final straw, and Khloe filed for divorce, but she would end up waiting years for it to be finalized.
Odom refused to sign the divorce papers, and Kardashian sat on the petition for nearly two years. Kardashian could have asked the court to issue a default judgment and ended her marriage shortly after she filed but she didn’t follow the proper legal channels and her case was dismissed.
She even withdrew her petition to divorce after Odom overdosed in a brothel because she didn’t want to hurt him, but made it clear they were not getting back together.A Los Angles divorce attorney can help with divorce proceedings and will help you overcome any hurdle you encounter.
