Kellyanne Conway and Husband of 22 Years Headed for Divorce

If there was ever a marriage to leave you feeling baffled, it would be the union of Kellyanne and George Conway. But after spending the last 22 years together, the pair have decided to call it quits. Page Six reported on March 4, 2023, that Kellyanne, former President Donald Trump’s longtime advisor, and George are getting divorced (1).

The couple tied the knot in 2001 and share four children.

Why is Kellyanne Conway getting divorced?

Typically, when the media’s ears are met with news of divorce, the response is often sympathetic, especially when children are involved. But that’s not the case when it comes to Kellyanne Conway’s divorce news. If anything, people (or society as a whole) are relieved by the fact the two are parting ways given their differing political views.

Perhaps what made the Conways’ marriage most mysterious is the fact that Kellyanne served under Trump as his campaign advisor during the 2016 elections and went on to become his campaign manager.

Oddly enough, George is the co-founder of the Lincoln Project, a “pro-democracy organization” that is “dedicated to the preservation, protection, and defense of democracy,” the organization’s website states (2). It’s also been known for its efforts of “keeping Trump out of the White House,” Page Six notes.

It is believed that the Conway’s political differences are partially (or wholly) to blame for their permanent separation.

Kellyanne Conway and her husband George reportedly hired divorced lawyers.

The news of Kellyanne’s divorce is still fresh, and therefore, the media can expect to receive more information as it is given out. For now, Page Six has only offered bits of information including that the two have hired divorce attorneys to assist them with hashing out the most pressing issues.
