Fort Lauderdale, FL- Just when you thought billionaire oil tycoon Harold Hamm’s divorce was over, his wife vows to keep fighting for a better settlement. And actor Gary Oldman is now enmeshed in his fourth divorce.
Last week, oil tycoon Harold Hamm’s estranged wife cashed and $975 million check given to her by her estranged husband. This gave everyone the impression she was done fighting with her ex over her divorce settlement, but today it became clear that Sue Ann Arnall has no intention of giving up on a larger settlement and has vowed to keep up the fight.
In statement via People Arnall said, “I will not dismiss my appeal and do not feel that my right to appeal should be denied because I have accepted, in the interim, a small portion of the estate that we built over more than two decades.”
While Hamm’s divorce attorney believes she received a fair settlement, Arnall’s attorney says the amount she was awarded represents only 6 percent of the business she helped build during her 25 year marriage to the oil magnate.
Hamm and Arnall are grabbing most of the headlines, but another notable divorce caught our attention. That is the divorce of legendary actor Gary Oldman who is splitting from wife number four after only a six years of marriage.
The Daily Mail reported that British actress Alexandra Edenborough, 36, filed for divorce last Friday citing “irreconcilable differences.” According to divorce documents, Edenborough asked for spousal support from Oldman and is also asking he pay her divorce attorney fees. She also asked she not have to pay her ex spousal support.
Oldman and Edenborough married on New Year’s Eve 2009 and have no children.
Oldman, 56, blamed his break with Edenborough on their 20 year age difference, telling the New York Post’s Page Six, “Alex and I had several great years together, and we shared a great love during that time.” Oldman added, “But there is big difference in our ages and ultimately that gap inevitably revealed different lifestyle interests.”
This is Oldman’s fourth divorce so he’s all too familiar with divorce process. Oldman, who played James Gordon Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight films, was first married to Lesley Manville from 1987 to 1990. He was then married to American actress Uma Thurman for a brief two years. He then married Donya Fiorentino, but their marriage only lasted for approximately four years.
Oldman has three children, one with Manville and two with Donya Fiorentino. The NYP noted that Oldman has sole custody of his two children with Fiorentino.
Oldman’s bout of bachelorhood lasted longer than most of his marriages. Some people aren’t made for marriage and some people just don’t pick the right partners. We wish Oldman the best with his latest divorce. Some people aren’t made for marriage and some people just don’t pick the right partners. We wish Oldman the best with his latest divorce.
