Los Angeles, CA- Last week, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Adrienne Maloof claimed that her estranged husband Paul Nassif abused their three children, but this week a judge gave him supervised visitation rights.
Maloof took out a temporary restraining order barring, Nassif from seeing their children alleging that he physically abused them. The Department of Children and Family Services responded to the claims and determined that Maloof’s accusations were unfounded, according to TMZ.
Though Nassif was granted visitation, a source close to Maloof told RadarOnline, “Yes, Paul was cleared by social workers of physical abuse allegations but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other areas of concern when it comes to the safety and well-being of the kids.”
Nassif filed for divorce in July citing irreconcilable differences, but it only took a couple of months for things to get heated. In September, Nassif said that Maloof physically and verbally abused him in front of their sons.
He is trying to obtain shared custody of their children, but in the face of these serious allegations it will take a highly skilled Los Angeles divorce attorney to build a strong defense which will allow him to retain his parental rights.
As with many divorces, children are often thrust into the middle as each party tries to get a favorable custody agreement. Men fare much better in custody cases as judges no longer give women preferential treatment.
