New York, NY- Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, who is a rising star of the Evangelical movement, is now under fire after he was caught spending the night with his mistress before he filed for divorce from his wife of twenty years.

You may know D’Souza from his film “2016: Obama’s America,” which allegedly exposes the President’s roots in anti-colonialism. Aside from his novels and films D’Souza recently landed a post as president at King’s College, an evangelical institution, but now that post is in jeopardy because of his relationship with another woman.

In late September, D’Souza was the keynote speaker at an evangelical event in South Carolina. D’Souza was appearing at the event with a young woman Denise Odie Joseph, who he introduced to at least a few people as his fiancé. Event organizer Tony Beam told World magazine that D’Souza and Joseph shared a room at a hotel after the event.

The next day conference organizer, Alex McFarland confronted D’Souza, who admitted that Joseph and he shared a room, adding “nothing happened.” McFarland asked D’Souza how he could be engaged to one woman while he was still married, according to the World. D’Souza replied by saying he “recently” filed for divorce from his wife Dixie, but McFarland learned that the filing occurred on October 4, the day his conversation with D’Souza took place.

So apparently, D’Souza was engaged to Joseph prior to filing for divorce and his post at King’s College may be in jeopardy.

Although he has not admitted to an affair, this revelation will give his estranged wife Dixie and her divorce attorney some leverage when the couple heads to court
