Did Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell hit a bad note in his marriage? Apparently so, because the famed artist, who joined the band in 1992, filed for divorce from his wife of 25 years.
In his Los Angeles County Superior Court divorce petition, Campbell cited irreconcilable differences for the split. He and his wife, Julie, wed in 1987. While infidelity rumors haven’t circulated – yet – things apparently went really sour because Campbell has even requested that the divorce court deny his wife alimony. According to the petition, Campbell is also seeking joint physical and legal custody of their two minor children, Lily Rose and Una Marigold.
Before joining Def Leppard, Campbell, an Irishman, played guitar for several other bands, including Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Dio. He joined Def Leppard after the demise of original guitarist, Steve Clark.
