Ft. Lauderdale, FL- There haven’t been any monumental A-list celebrity breakups this week, but there some B-list celebs facing divorce including actor John Schneider and Real Housewives of New Jersey husband Joey Giudice.

With an impending jail sentence hanging over the heads of Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joey Giudice, RadarOnline is reporting that one of them are preparing to divorce. Citing an inside source, the celebrity gossip said Joey has met with a divorce attorney and is looking to dissolve his marriage before Teresa heads to jail in January to serve her prison sentence.

Divorce can drive some people to bankruptcy, but in the case of the Giudices, bankruptcy is driving them to divorce. The couple were accused of and later convicted of defrauding the U.S. bankruptcy court by failing to disclose their assets. In March of this, Teresa and Joey Giudice pleaded guilty to 40 different counts of fraud and were both sentenced to jail; she received a 15-month sentence and he received a 41-month sentence.

They were allowed to serve their sentences separately so someone will be there to take care of their children. Teresa will serve her sentence first and then Joey will do his time. Unfortunately for him, because of his criminal charges he is at a risk of being deported back to Italy.

Rumors that Joey and Teresa were going to divorce have been swirling around the internet since they were sentenced and would appear that those rumors may soon come true.

Sadly, incarceration is a reality for many people and it can put an unbearable strain on a couple and a family. Some couples think their marriages are strong enough to such a challenge, but some couples know divorce may be in their best interest and choose to settle the matter before they head to prison.

Joey Giudice may realize that waiting to divorce down the road will make the process more difficult. Or, their marriage is just too broken to fix prison sentence or not.

Also this week, actor John Schneider, who is most known for his role as Bo Duke in late 70s hit “The Dukes of Hazzard,” got hit with divorce papers from his second wife, Elvira Schneider, maiden name Elly Castle.

TMZ is reporting that Elvira/Elly filed for divorce and is asking for spousal support.

The couple married in 1993 and have one child together, a daughter; Elly has two children from her first marriage.

John Schneider’s first marriage to former Miss America Tawny Elaine Godin only lasted from 1983 to 1986.
