Divorce Marriage Process and the Ugly Truth

Columbus, OH-In addition to discussing her transition from macho Olympian to a glamorous woman, Caitlyn Jenner discussed her widely publicized divorce from matriarch of the Kardashian Klan

Caitlyn who revealed her feminine identity to the world this week said that her marriage to Kris didn’t breakdown because of her gender identity. No, Caitlyn said it was the way Kris treated her, the New York Post reported.

According to the Sydney Herald, Caitlyn said her divorce was largely due to Kris’s behavior. Caitlyn said Kris was not very nice and added that she controlled the money.

Caitlyn told Vanity Fair, “Twenty per cent was gender and 80 per cent was the way I was treated.”

Though she admits that she wasn’t upfront about his need to transition into and be recognized as a woman. She had taken hormone treatments and even grew breasts in the 90s, but didn’t explain to Kris why she took them and that she wanted to transition into a woman.

Caitlyn said that Kris understood details of her situation, but conceded that “probably a mistake I made was maybe not having her understand — not the severity of it but that this is a condition you cannot get away from,” the New York Post reported. Adding, “From that standpoint maybe I blew it away a little bit, sort of, ‘This is what I do.’”

So, some of the onerous for their divorce lies in Caitlyn’s hands for not being honest with Kris about her true self.

Caitlyn, then Bruce, and Kris finalized their divorce last December after 23 years of marriage. The couple despite their notoriety managed to keep their divorce peaceful and the negotiations on the down-low until they amicably agreed on the terms and managed to keep an in-fighting from spilling into public view, which is surprising considering it took well over a year to agree on their divorce settlement.
