Hollywood, CA- Adrienne Maloof appeared with her “Real Wives of Beverly Hills” costars at a red carpet event Sunday to kick of season three of the popular show and questions about her contentious divorce with Paul Nassiff surfaced.
After Maloof and Nassif filed for divorce both came out alleging physical and verbal abuse by both parties. For Maloof, the abuse was so bad that she is seeking primary custody of their children and put out a restraining order against Nassif.
Despite the allegations, a court recently gave Nassif supervised visitation.
All the back and forth between the couple has made Maloof weary of publicity, but she took time out from the event to talk to People about her divorce.
“It’s been very difficult,” Maloof told the magazine, “I’m not made of stone. I’m a real person. It’s always difficult when your life is played out in public… I’m a very strong person. I’ll get through it.”
In addition to the challenge of fairly settling the child custody issue, divorce attorneys for the couple will also face the challenge of settling the couple’s financial affairs.
The price of fame and fortune is that no matter is truly private, especially when it comes to divorce. Celebrities often have prenuptial agreements drawn up before they tie the knot so that they can keep their dissolution from being a public spectacle and protect their many assets.
