Who would let a little thing like divorce ruin their career? Certainly not Katy Perry. The pop star blew away her audience on January 19 in Jakarta, Indonesia – her first live performance since her divorce announcement.
Not only is her singing career peaking, but Perry has just announced that she will team up with the popular computer game The Sims. Perry will be featured in the game and on top of that, she will have input into the development of the series.
“I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I’m a Sim,” said an excited Perry to CNN. “I love how you’re able to play out different stories through your Sims characters — giving them different careers and watching them succeed. It’s cool to see the Sims’ stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams Tour — even my cotton candy video screens are in there.”
And indeed it would appear as though Perry’s “California Dreams” are coming true. Her career is a success, no doubt about that. Her marriage on the other hand, not so much.
However, a bubbly and free-spirited leading lady like Perry will undoubtedly have no trouble bouncing back from her divorce.
For others, though, it’s a bit harder.
